Step into spring with this guide to the festival, written by the green fingered staff at our hotel near Malvern
“Set against the magnificent Malvern Hills, our spring festival is packed with flowers, food, crafts and family fun” – Royal Horticultural Society
The RHS Malvern Spring Festival is a staple in any foliage fanatic’s calendar. The Royal Horticultural Society shares the best of gardening across the UK, all year round. Although most famous for London’s Chelsea Flower Show, we think our event right here in Malvern just might top it. From cash machines and which shows to look out for on the day, here’s our beginner’s guide to the event.
When is it?
The events run from Thursday 11th May to Sunday 14th May 2017. The showground is open to the public from 9am to 6pm daily (TBC).
Where do I get tickets from?
Tickets are available to purchase now and are much cheaper when bought in advance online. The society urge all guests to purchase from their site only to avoid counterfeits. Please email email@example.com if you have bought a ticket and are no longer able to attend.
How do I get there?
The Showground is around 8 miles from the M5 and M50 motorways and is easily accessible by car. Follow the brown signs for The Three Counties Showground and once you ebb closer to the event, follow the yellow AA signs until you reach the festival. The festival is just 20 minutes away from us here at the Bank House Hotel if you are travelling by car.
Great Malvern is the best station to use to reach the festival. Tickets for services can be booked via www.nationalrail.co.uk and there is a free shuttle bus service from Great Malvern station to the showground, running from 9am to 6pm. The shuttle bus picks passengers up from outside Great Malvern station and drops them off at the Showground’s Red Gate. Please contact 01684 584900 for more information.

Can I bring the children?
Of course! Your little ones will be welcomed into the festival with open arms. There’s a Young Gardener area, with a gardening school onsite, so you can nurture those green fingers over the Saturday and Sunday.
Anything not to be missed?
Aside from the Show Gardens, be prepared for some celeb spotting and impressive plant exhibits, as well as paintings and merchandise to purchase onsite. ATMs are dotted around the event, so cash will always be readily available.
