There are plenty of Halloween-themed things to do in Worcestershire coming up that you can sink your teeth into – here are some of the team’s top suggestions. Some are scary, some less so. But most important of all, there’s an activity for everyone.
Circus Funtasia
On the 28th October, head to the Ketch Carboot Site in Worcester and you can enjoy all the thrills of the fair at Circus Funtasia. Boasting expert globe motorbike riders, a wheel of death, fire breathing, aerialists and much more, this is one great way to celebrate Halloween with the family without the scares. Malvern Storytellers
Every second Tuesday of the month, the Malvern Storytellers gather for a few hours of tales and fun. The group is set to share some suitably spooky stories in the run-up to Halloween and with admission for your first visit free, there’s no excuse not to join them! You can tell your own story, or just listen to the scary stories – if you dare!
Halloween at Ralph Court Gardens
Over nine days from the 27th October through to 4th November Ralph Court Gardens will be transformed using a mixture of state of the art light and sound technology. Pre-booked tickets cost £10.00 per person or £12.00 on the night, and with animatronics brought over from America it’s well worth the admission fee. Expect pumpkins, smoke, a skeleton band and even the headless horseman! Those fearful of a fright don’t have to dismay – the displays have been designed to ensure they are suitable for all ages, though there will be a ‘Horror Tunnel’ for those who like to test their nerve.
Halloween at Spetchley Park Gardens
From the 27th – 31st of October the Gardens will have their annual Halloween makeover with lots of new ghouls and frights in store. Follow the trail around the Gardens, tiptoe through the Trembling Tunnel, sidestep the Sinister Serpent and Mouldy Mummy, then whisper along Witches Walk; it’s going to be spookier than ever. £1 entry for children (includes a treat), normal admission applies for adults.
The Commandery, Worcester
If you’re looking for a visit that is full of ghosts and gunpowder, then you’ll want to head to The Commandery between 30th October and 4th November. Ticket and admission prices vary, but once you are all settled you can enjoy holiday-themed activities, puzzles and challenges. Can you save The Commandery from gunpowder plotters? With spooky stories and a ghost tour through one of Worcester’s oldest buildings, this is set to be a fun and educational way to spend Halloween and Bonfire night.
