Bransford Golf Club, located at the Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club, is getting behind two of its most dedicated members as they take on one of golf’s toughest endurance feats: the 72-Hole Challenge.
On Wednesday,11 June 2025, Seniors Captain Dale Snow and Vice-Captain Steve Bayley will tee off at 5am and aim to complete 72 holes of golf – four full rounds – by 9:30pm, all on foot and without the use of buggies. The challenge is part of the national ‘Longest Day Golf Challenge’, a fundraising initiative that supports cancer charities across the UK.
Dale and Steve are raising funds for the Worcestershire Prostate Cancer Support Group, a local organisation that has been helping men and families affected by prostate cancer for over 25 years. The cause is especially meaningful to the Bransford Golf Club community, with many current and former members having been personally affected.
Seniors Captain, Dale Snow, said: “This is a huge physical and mental challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what those facing prostate cancer go through. It’s a charity that’s close to our hearts so we want to do all we can to raise both awareness and much-needed funds for a very worthy cause.”
The club is encouraging members, guests, and the wider community to support the effort – whether by cheering them on throughout the day, sharing their story, or donating to the cause.
