The Bank House Hotel’s Bransford Golf Club is offering free golf for any member of the NHS or Emergency Services during the Coronavirus pandemic.
In a touching video posted on the Bransford Golf Club’s Facebook page, Tim Shepherd, the club’s PGA professional, made the announcement to offer just a little bit back for their hard and selfless work.
Tim said: “Golf is a place where I can be free, a place where get away from the world and whatever is going out there.
“I know you are working incredibly hard at the moment but if you have a rare day off, a spare couple of hours, I want to welcome you to Bransford Golf Club so you can switch your phone off and have just a bit of you time.
“It’s the least we can do to thank you all for everything you’re doing right now.”
All necessary precautions are being taken to ensure social distancing is adhered to as well as the safety of health and staff and visitors. Measures in place on the course itself include ball cleaning, upturned hole cups and avoiding contact with the flag poles.
Anybody who is a member of the NHS or an Emergency Services worker who wants to play a round of golf just needs to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01886 833621 to book a tee time. There’s no need to go into the Club House on arrival – reducing further social contact – just show an eligible ID card and head straight to the course.
Everybody at the Bank House Hotel and Bransford Golf Course would like to thank the incredible work of the NHS and Emergency Services at this incredibly challenging time.
