Introducing our new Executive Head Chef: Rajesh Arumugam

The Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club have welcomed Rajesh Arumugam, an exciting new Executive Head Chef, to its team at the Worcester-based hotel.

Rajesh brings with him a wide range of international experience and expertise having worked in and ran kitchens around the world. His career has seen him work in top class restaurants in his native India, for luxury hotel group Mandarin Oriental in Saudi Arabia, and most recently as Head Chef for JM Socials at their award-winning Prithvi restaurant in Cheltenham.  

His varied background has not only seen him travel extensively, but also gain valuable knowledge in a variety of cooking styles having held roles in Indian, Italian, French, Arabian, Oriental, and British restaurants. An illustrious career to date has also seen him work with some of finest Michelin-starred chefs, as well as picking up a number of high-level certificates and awards

Relishing the opportunity at the Bank House, Rajesh said: “I’ve been at the Bank House just a few short weeks but I’m so happy to be here. Everyone has helped me settle in and made me feel really welcome.

“I’ve worked and trained as a chef all my life and have been lucky enough to travel the world doing what love. I’m really looking forward to putting my own style on the menus here at the Bank House and share my passion for food from around the world with our guests.”

Adam Richards, General Manager of the Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club was delighted to welcome a chef of Rajesh’s abilities to the hotel. He said: “We’re delighted to have Rajesh with us at the Bank House. When searching for a new Executive Head Chef, he stood out by some distance with his ability as well as his diverse background and experience.

“He’s been a breath of fresh air in the short time he’s been with us and has settled in with the team really well. He has some innovative ideas that we can’t wait to share with our guests over the coming months. Expect to see some subtle menu changes in the coming weeks, alongside a daily specials board featuring some of Rajesh’s signature dishes and seasonal special events”

The Garden Room Restaurant at the Bank House Hotel is open to hotel guests and local diners. The recently refurbished restaurant is based in the idyllic Worcestershire countryside with diners being treated to stunning views of the hotel’s picturesque gardens and the iconic Malvern View Hills. All while enjoying delicious food and exceptional service in a relaxed and modern environment.
