Bransford Golf Club has successfully been re-awarded England Golf’s SafeGolf accreditation.
In earning the certification, Bransford Golf Club has proved to have met the standards set by England Golf and share the mission of the SafeGolf partnership to safeguard the welfare of children and young people, as well as adults at risk, ensuring that all people have a fun, safe and positive experience in the sport of golf.
SafeGolf is a partnership of UK and Ireland golf bodies committed to promoting a safe and positive environment for all those participating, working and volunteering in the sport of golf.
It also allows anybody associated with golf to share concerns about the welfare of any participant in golf, whether that’s regarding the behaviour or practice of a coach, volunteer, organiser, parent, or a player. This standard ensures all clubs provide a safe and positive experience to children and young people whilst playing golf.
Upon receiving confirmation of the re-awarding of the SafeGolf certificate, Adam Richards, General Manager of the Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club said: “Creating an environment for everyone to confidently play golf in a safe environment is the least we should be doing as a Golf Club.
“As a family run hotel, spa and golf club, the philosophies of SafeGolf strongly echo what we believe in as a business so it’s a no brainer for us to encourage and promote these practices at our Bransford Golf Club.”
Bransford Golf Club is a Florida-style golf course located at the foot of the Malvern Hills at the Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club in Worcestershire. Along with members, the course welcomes hotel guests and local golfers to challenge their abilities across the 18 holes that consist of 14 lakes and two challenging island greens, with a total of six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s.
