Awarded by Quality in Tourism, a nationally recognised authority in hospitality assessment, this independent accreditation reflects the steps the Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club are taking to operate more responsibly, support the local community and reduce their environmental impact, while continuing to deliver outstanding hospitality for guests.
What is the Responsible Tourism (REST) Accreditation?
The Responsible Tourism (REST) scheme, developed by Quality in Tourism, is designed to recognise hospitality businesses that can demonstrate meaningful action across three core pillars:

Focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), community engagement and local involvement, this pillar recognises the social impact a business makes, from working with local suppliers to supporting charities and schools.

Centred on inclusivity, integrity and staff wellbeing, this pillar celebrates businesses that demonstrate fair practices, equal opportunities, strong staff support and investment in training and development.
Sustainable
Dedicated to environmental and economic management, this pillar supports businesses working towards net zero and reducing their carbon footprint through energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation and sustainable operations.
Underpinning all of this is the Safe, Clean & Legal™ standard, independently assessing businesses against EHO-approved protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure guests can have complete confidence in their stay.
