Welcoming Our New Golf Pro: Charles Haynes

Bransford Golf Club has appointed Charles Haynes as the club’s new Golf Professional.

Charles brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role having turned professional in 1984 and worked at various golf clubs in the Worcestershire and Warwickshire areas. His most recent role was the Head Professional at Olton Golf Club – a position he held for over 20 years.

As a golfer, he has 48 professional Strokeplay, Pro Am, Alliance and mini tour victories, has held five course records and is a former affiliate member of the European Senior Tour. He has also been PGA captain in both Worcestershire and Warwickshire, and has been a committee member of both for 15 and 10 years respectively.

Charles has earned an array of qualifications since qualifying as a PGA Professional in 1984, which both members and guests to Bransford Golf Club can benefit from. These include The Swing and its Instruction, and Club Repairs. He is also DBS certified and has Equity in coaching and Safeguarding and Protecting Children accreditation.

Adam Richards, General Manager at the Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club welcomed Charles’ arrival. He said: “It’s great to have Charles on board as our Golf Pro at Bransford Golf Club.

“It’s been a difficult few months with closures, restrictions and not having a Golf Pro has added to that. So, I’d like thank the members and visitors at the club for their patience and understanding.

“However, we wanted to make sure we got the right person for this role and with his experience and enthusiasm, I’m confident Charles is exactly that and will be a welcome addition for us all Bransford Golf Club.

“I’m sure you’ll join me in welcoming Charles and helping him settle in on your next visit.”
