What is Oktoberfest?

Oktoberfest is aworldwide phenomenon that is dedicated to celebrating all things Bavarian; from the culture to pints of beer. Also known as a Volksfest due to the combination of being a beer festival and a travelling funfair, the fest is held annually in Munich and lasts between 16 and 18 days. More than 6 million people from around the world attend the event every year, and the locals refer to it at Wiesn (their name for fairgrounds). Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture – it has been going since 1810!

Full of food, fun and festivities, you can celebrate Oktoberfest without having to leave the country – there’s a pint and plenty of live music waiting for you at our hotel. Join us on Friday 21st September and the evening’s celebrations will include the amazing Bierkeller Shunklers – a three-piece Bavarian Show Band that are guaranteed to have you dancing, singing and feeling thoroughly entertained.

Tickets cost £35 per person and includes entertainment, a 2-course dinner (pretzels to start) and drink. Got a larger group of friends? We are delighted to offer discounts for tables of 10.
